Introducción
La base de datos RIPE no es solo un depósito de registros actuales relacionados con la asignación de recursos numéricos de Internet, su enrutamiento y registros ns, sino también una plataforma creativa para concursos de poesía entre ingenieros de redes.
Desde la década de 1990 y hasta el día de hoy, los ingenieros de redes han estado publicando poemas en la base de datos RIPE. Incluso hay todo un grupo de trabajo secreto dedicado a la poesía.
En este artículo, exploraremos la historia de la creación de los objetos ‘Poem’ y ‘Poetic-Form’, brindaremos ejemplos de estos objetos, explicaremos cómo publicar el propio poema y también evaluaremos la atmósfera creativa en las bases de datos de otros RIR.
Historia
Desde la década de 1990, existía un objeto LIMERICK en la base de datos RIPE, dentro del cual los ingenieros de redes podían publicar sus composiciones en forma de quintillas. Una entrada de ejemplo se veía así:

Sin embargo, no todos estaban satisfechos con la existencia únicamente del objeto LIMERICK, ya que había entusiastas que disfrutaban escribiendo en estilos distintos a Limerick, como el Haiku. Deseaban la creación de objetos separados adaptados a la forma de sus poemas.
Así, en 2004, un grupo de entusiastas del Secret Working Group, durante RIPE-48, propuso la implementación de Poem Object y Poetic Form Object para reemplazar a Limerick. El objeto de poema debe contener el poema, mientras que el objeto de Poetic Form describe la forma del poema, utilizando la forma del poema en sí.
La comunidad adoptó esta iniciativa creativa y, desde entonces, al crear un Poetic Form objeto , los autores pueden especificar el atributo «Forma», que puede referirse al objeto de Poetic Form requerido. Como resultado, los antiguos objetos LIMERICK se convirtieron en objetos POEM.
A día de hoy, los autores pueden elegir entre cinco formas poéticas:
- FORM-LIMERICK
- FORM-HAIKU
- FORM-PROSE
- FORM-SONNET-ENGLISH
- FORM-CHLAPOUVOTRON (El objeto existe pero los autores del poema no lo han elegido como forma de poema).

A pesar de la oportunidad de publicar poemas que existe desde hace aproximadamente tres décadas, el número de autores que contribuyen con poesía es mínimo. Hasta el año 2023, sólo unos pocos se han dedicado a la publicación, lo que da como resultado un total de 234 poemas.

¿Cómo crear un objeto Poem?
Estos objetos no se pueden crear mediante el método habitual a través de https://apps.db.ripe.net/db-web-ui/webupdates/select, sino solo enviando una solicitud a limerick-wg por correo electrónico: limerick-wg@ripe .net.
Tras la aprobación del grupo de trabajo, el poema será publicado.
¿Y qué pasa con otros RIR?
Hay un objeto LIMERICK en AFRINIC, pero el autor se limita a cinco líneas.
También logramos encontrar una huella creativa en los archivos de APNIC en forma de un objeto de Limerick. Sin embargo, actualmente no se muestra en su whois, por lo que no podemos proporcionar un enlace al mismo.
Al mismo tiempo, no pudimos encontrar objetos poéticos en LACNIC y ARIN. Si lo ha logrado, comparta la información.
